Poem

Torch to Bearer

It is the torch I sent to her who bore the flame,
It is the warmth that calmed my breast and stirred my heart to claim,
It is the feeling that seeped into my heart in tenderness and grace,
It is the whisper of longing in the ear of one who found his place,
It is the signs of mercy overflowing from the Creator's hand,
It is thy meaning radiating from the presence of the Lord,
I sought death to fulfil thy will,
And lo, I return to life to fulfil thy desire—
Then let thy will be done.
