Poem

Lord, You Pacify Me

O Lord, You are my refuge and my guide,I see You always—my inspiring tide.
I love You openly, without disguise;And love within You what Your mercy hides.
Bestow on faithful believers, God above,The generous outpour of Your boundless love.
From Your eternal spring let them drink deep—The honey nectar of Your mercy's keep.
To lift the wretched from their anxious dread,And help the destitute with daily bread.
O Sower in our hearts of love's pure seed—Love everlasting, planted for our need;
O Lord, grant to our generation's callA love like lovers' love—the greatest of all.
