Poem

Phantom I Kissed

O phantom whom my tears have kissed with grace,Guard well thy soul—love's secrets hide their trace;
My heart within my ribs doth wander lost,Would it but know what hidden passion cost!
Would it but know a spirit restless still,Forever yearning, yet in peace fulfil;
My soul adores thee, hides its love apart,Between its ribs—and silence holds its heart.
