Poem

Soul Wakes to Light

My soul has healed upon guidance's light,Feeling faith as symbol of delight;
Glorify God if ye will, and build,And praise God — radiance has been fulfilled;
Raise high the banners o'er the ramparts grand,Beside the Nile — a symbol of the land;
Peoples the desert, O lion of mankind,How many victims marked sacrifice's line;
O heroes, O messengers of peace,Join the symbol of the faithful crease;
O soldiers of God — the light has shone,Reviving hopes with confidence enthroned;
Spread forth thy faith as melody — proclaim,And pour warm courage through the desert's frame;
Awaken thou the Arabs, and declare:We, O Arabs, were created for love's care
