O lonely one lost in night's deep tide,An orphan whom kin nearest denied;
Time wrapped him in this vain world's fold,Men scorned him, even the faithful bold.
O orphan who found naught but woe,Warming himself in groan and low;
Grief branded him in poisoned air,Time cast him to dread fate's despair.
