Poem

Morning Sun Rose

The morning sun has risen bright,The night is gone, has fled from sight;
Upon the veil there came to lightHeaven's fairest orb of light.
How we hope at break of dayTo see the blossoms bloom and sway;
And see therein clemencyRadiant as pure majesty.
Our day with kindness gently led,Fragrant as a spirit's tread;
Pure comfort's equal, wholly given,Fills the soul with peace from heaven.
O stars that dwell in height above,Deny us not the sight we love;
Glory to my Lord who gaveAll radiance and splendour brave.
