And all the nations heard El-Sadat's call,Peace's summons, noble, rising over all;
He called and stirred the fervour in each breast,And cleared the veil from minds that were oppressed;
These bonds of weakness, bonds of every ill,He cast far off to hope's fair plain and hill;
He voiced in God's own name the hope we crave,Hope for peace and purity to save;
He sought to blast those fetters from our hand,And spoke the secret of existence's band;
O would I knew if nations understandThis guide who seeks their purity and stand;
Who hopes that peoples' happiness may last,Who shuns hypocrisy and weariness vast;
Who seeks peace without price or bitter fee,Who seeks security without turmoil free;
Woe unto him who seeks contention's flame,We'll crucify him on a fire of shame;
In God's own name we are the fight's support,We'll guard our lands when treachery comes to court;
We showed the base their spirits' firm resolve,And triumphed through the darkness' nights that revolve;
We became essence of a faithful heart,A rampart for our father's spirit's art;
Concord called us to restrain the moan,We guard and shield our homeland's ancient throne;
In God's own name we are the struggle's shield,We'll light a victory on a distant field.
